FLORIDA PHILHARMONIC CHORUS ANNOUNCES
SUMMER CHORAL READING SESSIONS
The Florida Philharmonic Chorus announced today that there will be four
opportunities for non-members to sing with this internationally acclaimed
ensemble. Choral Reading Sessions, conducted by Chorus Director Paul Eisenhart,
will begin Monday, June 24 with subsequent sessions on July 15, August 5,
and August 26.
All sessions will be held at the Philharmonic Hall (1430 N. Federal Highway,
Ft. Lauderdale) from 7:30 - 10:00 PM. Music will be provided. Dr. Robert
Sharon, the Chorus' accompanist, will provide the piano accompaniment.
Reading sessions are not performances, nor are they rehearsals. They are
opportunities to sing through selections of great choral literature for
recreational purposes. All interested persons are welcome to attend. The
schedule is as follows:
Monday, June 24 Requiem - Verdi Monday, July 15 Coronation Mass in C Major
- Mozart and Mass in C Major - Beethoven Monday, August 5 Christmas in August
Monday, August 25 Carmina Burana
For those interested in becoming a member of the Florida Philharmonic Chorus,
audition appointments may be arranged at the conclusion of each reading
session, or by contacting Chorus Administrator Alice Meyer at (954) 345-1821.
