FLORIDA PHILHARMONIC APPOINTS EDUCATION COORDINATOR


September 3, 1996, Fort Lauderdale, FL.,...Florida Philharmonic Orchestra Manager John Sparrow recently announced the appointment of Jenni Person to the position of Education Coordinator. Ms. Person will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of the Philharmonic's education programs.

Jenni Person joined the Orchestra in 1995, as Grants Administrator. Prior to joining the Philharmonic, Ms. Person was the Director of Programming at the South Florida Art Center in Miami Beach . Active in local cultural affairs, Ms. Person serves on the Mayor's Committee on Cultural Affairs for the City of Miami Beach, the Executive Committee for the Dade Cultural Alliance, and the Board of Directors for the National Association of Artists' Organizations, to name a few.

The Florida Philharmonic's educational programs include, the Music for Youth series, Maestro's Musical Express, Family Concerts, and Concerts for Kids.

Ms. Person holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bennington College in Bennington, Vermont.
