Sonesta Philadelphia to host 2015 ICSOM Conference, August 26-29.

The Sonesta Philadelphia has been named the host hotel for the 2015 conference of the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians (ICSOM). The conference, hosted by the musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Philadelphia Musicians Union, Local 77 of the American Federation of Musicians, will be held Wednesday, August 26 through Saturday, August 29, 2015.

The Sonesta Philadelphia is located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, just a short walk from beautiful Rittenhouse Square, the location of the Curtis Institute of Music. The recently renovated hotel offers a convenient location for all of Center City Philadelphia’s famous historic sites and acclaimed restaurants.

Thanks to the work of ICSOM President Brian Rood, Treasurer Michael Moore and Philadelphia Orchestra ICSOM Delegate John Koen, a room rate of $139 has been negotiated for the conference at the Sonesta, an excellent rate for such a beautiful location in one of America’s greatest cities.

Conference information and reservation information will be sent in the spring of 2015 to delegates, AFM officers and staff, and local officers who attended the 2014 conference. Others interested in attending the conference should contact ICSOM Secretary Laura Ross.

We look forward to seeing you in the great city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!
