2016 ICSOM Conference Hotel Chosen for Washington, DC

Loews Madison Hotel to host 2016 ICSOM Conference, August 24-27.

The Loews Madison Hotel has been named the host hotel for the 2016 conference of the International Conference of Symphony and Opera Musicians (ICSOM). The conference, hosted by the musicians of the National Symphony, the musicians of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and the DC Federation of Musicians, Local 161-710 of the American Federation of Musicians, will be held Wednesday, August 24 through Saturday, August 27, 2016.

The Loews Madison is located in the heart of the Nation’s Capital, just a short walk from the White House. The hotel offers a convenient location for all of Washington, DC’s famous historic and cultural sites and acclaimed restaurants.

Thanks to the work of Senza Sordino Editor Peter de Boor, ICSOM Member at Large Jennifer Mondie, and ICSOM Treasurer Michael Moore, a room rate of $149 has been negotiated for the conference at the Loews Madison, an excellent rate for such a beautiful location in one of America’s greatest cities.

Conference information and reservation information will be sent in the spring of 2016 to delegates, AFM officers and staff, and local officers who attended the 2015 conference. Others interested in attending the conference should contact ICSOM Secretary Laura Ross.
